Well, as
you can tell The Turkish Van Site is still growing.
If you haven't been by in a while, here are a few
changes. A separate Van information section
includes more details on topics previously included
in the FAQs. It is here that you will find
information about the Turkish Van's personality,
colors, showing, standards, feeding, etc. The
About Us section was expanded to provide a historical
perspective of the cats of Pairodocs and to give you
the chance to get to know us a little bit. The Meet
the Cats section is where most of the photos can be
found. Fun Stuff includes Turkish Van postcards (try
it!), my experiments with Paint Shop Pro <LOL>,
Turkish Van folk art (!), photos taken at the
Masters, plus other things that strike my fancy.

Check
this page for updated information related to the
Turkish Van Site and any substantive new additions.

July
16, 2007 At long last - a new Van Profile!!
January 2007
Because I update this site so frequently, I have gotten completely lax about updating this page :-). So unless there
is a major change or addition - I will not be posting it here. We are no longer accepting
photos for 'Snapshots' or 'Tributes' and plan to redo that whole section in the next few months.
June
6, 2003 Pictures of our babies have
been added.
October
19, 2002 I updated the Snapshots pages
and added a few new photos throughout the site.
June
30, 2002 We finally moved to our new
server. We were allowed free access on our old one
until the plug was actually pulled so we decided to
wait it out a bit. I am still assessing how much
space we have and hope to get caught up on a few
snapshots additions in the near future. I did update
the Hall of Fame a bit and have been tweaking other
sections as well. The quizlet disappeared in the move
so a replacement has been added, but we start back at
zero again :-(( The 2001-02 cat show results are in!
Pairodocs Red Rain is best Turkish Van in CFA and
Pairodocs Happy Traveler is best Turkish Van in TICA
- yippeee!!!!! Trav also made a top 20 win in
championship in the southeast region - it has been
several years since we have gotten one, so we are
really proud of him!!
December
14, 2001 We will be moving to a new
server soon. We have not found a home yet, but hope
the transition can be made relatively painlessly :-))
The move will occur in January sometime. We are up to
14 pages of Snapshots now and are holding off any new
additions until after we move! MERRY CHRISTMAS!
March
26, 2001 The eleventh
Snapshots page
is up as is a tribute to our friend Sable who recently crossed the
Rainbow Bridge.
January
26, 2001 I've added some recent articles
that relate to the history of the van cat - interesting and
educational reading.
January
18, 2001 I've had a creative streak!! -
see my Turkish Van folk art pages
January
9, 2001 Happy New Year. We have just
added our tenth Snapshots page :-))
November
28, 2000 Christmas postcards have
arrived - :-)) Go to our Fun
Stuff area and
check them out! Also new - Health
Information
including recommended vaccination protocals.
September
15, 2000 It was a bit slow over the
summer, but we are now at 9 pages of snapshots. I am also adding a section on
the history of the breed but have just gotten started
with it. Milas has been added to the cat profiles. The
section on how to show a Turkish Van is up to four pages and is
hopefully helpful to someone new to cat shows (and
amusing to those who aren't).
March 28,
2000 Can you believe it - the 8th
Snapshots page
is now up! There are some wonderful photos of some
great cats here so check them out!
March
6, 2000 I have added the seventh
Snapshots page
and the eight will be coming soon. Take a look at
these wonderful cats! Also -do you want to know how
many Vans have been registered since the 1950s? Check
out the updated Statistics page.
February
4, 2000 I have added some information
on the personality of the Turkish Van cat in response to lots of
requests. We are now up to our sixth
Snapshots page.
Keep those photos coming!!!
October
9, 1999 I have added some information
on adopting older cats and tips on how to make this
successful. We are up to our fourth
Snapshots page.
I just love all the pictures that you have sent us!
Also, there is a Tribute Page, which is in honor of our
friends who have crossed the Rainbow Bridge.
July
17, 1999 I have added more in the Van
Information section, including more on how to show your
Turkish Van, care and feeding, and information on the
Van colors. I have also update the What's
New page. A
third snapshots page has been added to show off our
wonderful friends.
May
1, 1999 Turkish Van backgrounds can now
be found on the backgrounds page. Do you have a Turkish Van
related web site? You might want to join the Turkish
Van web ring.

"Kapurz
Fuzzbombe Brownie" aka "Fuddy" posed
in the garden. He is a 13 year old Persian and the
ruler of the house.
April
19, 1999 This may not seem major, but a
new background set has been added. It took a while
for the creative juices to flow, but you can see the
influence of spring here. Don't worry, I haven't
forgotten about getting some cat and Turkish Van
graphics up. Stay tuned. Also, I have added a second
snapshots page. It will feature photos sent to us by
visitors to this site and fellow lovers of Turkish
Van cats.
April
8, 1999 I am now beefing up the Van
Info section after a slow start. You can now access
the section on how to show your Turkish Van and we'll be finishing that
part soon. Also more buttons have been added to the graphics
pages.
April
4, 1999 I have started to add some
things to our graphics pages; a couple of backgrounds and
some balls. This is a work in progress and we'll
continue to add new graphics over the next few weeks.
March
13, 1999 Added Turkish
Van breed statistics to the Van Info section. This shows how
many Vans (and what colors) have been registered in
the Cat Fanciers Association since 1958.
